- DrumFrame VX-EZ Review

VX-EZ Review Modern Drummer reviewed the DrumFrame VX-EZ in the May 2003 issue and had very positive things to say about the new hardware.

Reviewer, Will Romano, states, "It made playing so joyful that going back to my ordinary stand-alone kit seemed a bit of a letdown."

Can't argue with that! You can download the review for yourself by clicking the photo or here.

- PASIC!

Billy Ashbaugh at PASIC 2001 PASIC took place 15-18 November in Nashville and was a rousing success. Johnny Rabb and Billy Ashbaugh gave very impressive clinics and Johnny performed with his "Techno Trio". - Khari Parker's Date With Destiny

Khari Parker Khari Parker, drummer with Destiny's Child, is the latest touring pro find his way to the DrumFrame; these photos were taken out on the MTV Tour. Khari landed this gig when rehearsing at S.I.R in LA; he took a break and that moment of opportunity we all dream of occurred. He bumped into a friend, the bass palyer with Destiny's Child, who told Khari that the drummer was leaving and if he could be in LA at a certain time, he could have the Destiny's Child gig. It pays to hang around the Coke machine, huh?

- Johnny Rabb at PASIC

Johnny Rabb One of our newest endorsers, Johnn Rabb, will be performing at this year's PASIC in Nashville, Thursday, November 15th at 9:00. He is releasing his new Drum 'n' Bass book/CD package, "Acoustic Machine", at PASIC. Here's what Johnny has to say about playin' on the Frame:

"The DrumFrame has allowed me to position my drums, percussion, and cymbals in the most comfortable and playable formation possible. The fact that I am reclining at the proper angle helps alleviate any leg or back strain that has caused me pain and discomfort after long gigs. I agree with Bob that the DrumFrame makes you want to play the drums. Once your drums are positioned to your liking, you feel like you are locked in and ready to groove. Open and sustaining tones will sing from your kit that you may not have heard in the conventional position. The DrumFrame takes the guessing out of setup, drum positioning and maybe most importantly comfort!"

- A Different Perspective - the Drum Tech

BBB Billy Brett is the drum tech for Billy Ashbaugh when he's on the road with *Nsynch, so we asked him what it is about the DrumFrame that makes his job even better:

"Hello Drummers,

Are you thinking about purchasing a rack for your kit? Then I suggest the Drum Frame for a number of reasons. First is the sound quality that you get from the kick drum being suspended in such a way that allows it to project in deeper, richer tone. And then there is the variety of ways to position your shells, pedals, cymbals, microphone boom arms, chimes, triggers & pads, fans & lights (I'm sure I forgot something!), in a way that you can play while never having to lean forward out of the comfort of the recliner. And then there is durability of the construction of the frame; I have taken the frame throughout the world assembling and disassembling it for over a year now with Billy Ashbaugh & 'Nsync it has stood up to the clumsiest stagehands, wind & rain, pyrotechnics and an overall good beating. The only thing that wore out were the washers on the clamps from the constant loosening and tightening over hundreds of shows. And there is still a lot of life left in the DrumFrame so come to the show and check it out.

Sincerely yours,
Billy Brett, Drum Tech"
